Bright children who struggled in previous classrooms are making breakthroughs at Sand Hill School

Sand Hill School, a Children’s Health Council private school, offers a personalized learning environment for grades K-4. Teachers skillfully help students unlock the key to feeling happy at school and excited to learn. With two teachers for every ten students, Sand Hill School serves students who show signs of learning differences, inattention, distractibility, ADHD or anxiousness related to academic tasks. The curriculum includes social-emotional and academic subjects and is designed for students who can function successfully in a classroom without a one-on-one aide and who have the capacity to successfully transition to a mainstream classroom.

Sand Hill School parents enjoy the convenience of scheduling additional therapeutic and learning services (as needed) at Children’s Health Council and integrating their child’s care with classroom activities. Children’s Health Council’s therapists also provide in-classroom support as part of the curriculum and as needed on a case-by-case basis.

Mission

Sand Hill School provides a joyful and personalized learning environment for young, bright children with learning and attention challenges. We re-instill their confidence and love of learning by helping them acquire the skills and resiliency to thrive in traditional classrooms.
