Superflex®: Compromising

Sand Hill School students are learning the art of compromise.  Based on the work of Michele Garcia Winner’s Superflex®, students use a superhero-villain concept to deal with challenging social situations.  As part of this lesson students created and acted out scenarios.

Superflex®: Keeping Calm

Students create a book of strategies for keeping cool under pressure.  For this project, Keeping Calm, the students acted out different strategies for staying calm in difficult situations and documented their learning in a book.

Nearly every week, students complete a similar book project, each time featuring a different student and addressing a different topic.  Projects like Keeping Calm are a great way to help kids learn and keep their cool.
