Over the past year (and more!) we have all become one with our devices – we are online for school, work, exercise, catching up with friends and the list goes on. How we can we help our kids and ourselves re-learn to socialize in person and to re-engage with the world while still building on the skills and opportunities that our digital connections have made possible during this challenging time?
Attend this virtual, live session to hear from expert Dr. Devorah Heitner, author of Screenwise: Helping Kids Thrive (and Survive) in Their Digital World and founder of Raising Digital Natives. Her mission is to cultivate a culture of empathy and social/emotional literacy. Dr. Heitner’s work has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and CNN Opinion. She has a PhD in Media/Technology & Society from Northwestern University and has taught at DePaul and Northwestern.
